Sunday, Chinese Brush Painting In-person Classes:
The classes are provided by Spanish Village’s Village Art and Education Foundation.
Location: Spanish Village Art Center, Balboa Park

(Open air space, enter from Studio 17)
*Incase of rain the class will held indoor in a small room of Gallery 21, Spanish Village.
-This is a mixed level class, beginners are welcome.
-Age: 14 and up, adults.
(Accept children under 14 only if accompanied with adult, paid for two.)
- A maximum of 15 students in each class.
- No refund 48 hours before the class begins.
Chinese Brush Painting Class subjects are flower, birds, landscape, animal, and Chinese calligraphy.

Q & A:
What are the subjects the new students will learn in the class?
I teach the Chinese brush painting techniques from beginning for the new students. Therefore, you don’t need to have any prior experiences.
There are four subjects for the beginners to learn the basics brush strokes. They are plum blossoms, bamboo, orchid, and daisy. You should take four classes to learn all these subjects. After completed the four basic painting subjects you will now enter in the Mixed Level Class, and you will start learning different subjects. You will sign up for the classes one at a time.

Large goat-hair brush, small weasel-hair brush, detail brush.
Indigo, yellow, crimson lake, vermilion, cadmium red, magenta, violet, burnt Sienna.
Opaque colors: cobalt, brilliant green, white
black ink.
Absorbent rice paper.
